Lisbon 1/2 day cruise

Welcome to our 5-hour tour through Lisboa.

We hope that your trip is being fantastic so far! For our part we promise that, not soon, will you forget this visit to the legendary town founded by Ulysses.

During this tour we will visit two of the most emblematic places of the capital of Portugal: Belém and Baixa (downtown)! This tour has been designed for the tourist who remains in Lisbon for a few hours, wanting to know the city and have some free time for shopping.

The Belém district represents the monumentality of the sixteenth century: a time when the Portuguese were the lords of Asia, Africa and most of South America (Brazil) - the grandeur of the Jerónimos Monastery is a testimony of that time: we will visit the Church the Jerónimos Monastery and the old “Pastéis de Belém” bakery where is made what is, probably, the best cake in the world - we want you to taste this beloved delicacy of the Portuguese!

We will pass along the Belém Tower: one of the most beautiful bastions of war ever created by man – It’s not accessible but, due to its importance, we will stop to get better acquainted with its History.

From Belém we'll head to the Lisboa Rossio, the downtown created by the Marquis of Pombal to be the ideal town of the eighteenth century.

On the 1st of November 1755, morning, Lisboa suffers a devastating earthquake that is followed by a "tsunami"! For long minutes the people of Lisboa saw their city being destroyed: in the days following this disaster, the proud capital of the Portuguese watch the huge fires that destroy what had miraculously withstood.

The Renaissance town dies and a new town is reborn and rises to the auspices of the Age of the Enlightenment. Downtown Lisboa reflects the ideal of a rational town, made of wide streets that open to cosmopolitan plazas, built to be safe against earthquakes and where the house and the commerce lives side by side, creating a living space that never gets abandoned.

At D. Pedro V plaza (Rossio) there will be free time for shopping and enjoy one of the most beautiful plazas in Europe.

For your confort our tour will begin and end at the place which suits you best.
